Kiteflyer wins SS Commodore* !!

*In the interests of keeping our non Australian readers up to date, I should point out that what he is refering to below is a car, made by Holden (GM in your terms) in Australia.

A certain local flyer, who will remain anonymous has won the SS Commodore from the QLD Trading Post*. All I can say is, lucky bugger!!!

*The QLD Trading Post is a weekly tabloid of things for sale, mostly by private owners - think ebay without the auction, and with paper.

Sea Specs, surf glasses

Seaspecs Posted by Hello
Most people arent aware that their greatest risk of injury whilst kitesurfing is to their eyes.

All those hours sailing with the sun just behind their kite, combined with glare off the water. Excessive UV exposure can lead to blindness later in life.

Blindness in later life makes it very difficult to see where your kite is going and can lead to all manner of accidents. This then, is the reason you should be wearing 'Seaspecs', made for the industry by people who can see.
Benefits of Seaspecs include :

> Polarized polycarbonate lenses reduce glare and fatigue
> Stops water spraying in your eyes
> Adjustable retaining strap
> They float

Get yours today, wear them while watching television, or, what about using them the next time you go kitesurfing?

BrisKites cares about your health.

Try Landboarding!

Try Landboarding!! Posted by Hello
Too cold for kitesurfing? No water in the ocean today? Sharks circling the bay?
Not enough wind? Do you live 1000klms inland?

You need a landboard. We all need a landboard.

With a landboard you only need 5knts to achieve speeds over 20kmh.

Drop in the store and give our demo board a ride today. Once you have experienced the freedom of a landboard you will never be the same.

Dirt Theory landboards now available ex stock

Dirt Theory's SkyLord 116 freestyle model features 200mm tyres on carbon steel axles, supporting a 9 ply old growth Canadian maple deck.

This is the model to throw under your surf kite on days when you don't feel the need to don the Aleedas (yes, we are a distributor for Aleeda) and get wet.

Serious hard core boarders are the ones who should be looking at this deck with a view to giving it some punishment.

Call in to the shop, or check the site for more details on the Dirt Theory range.

On the subject of tractionboarding - you should be aware that BrisKites offer Landboard lessons to complement their kite surfing lessons, so if you feel the urge, but need a hand, give BrisKites a call.
