Brunswick Heads Kite & Bike festival

The streets and skies of Brunswick Heads come alive on Sunday, August 21, 2005 for the 4th Kites and Bikes Festival.

The day is packed full of visual treats, kite-making and bike-maintenance workshops, pirate pantomime, rides, kite displays, decorated bike competition, breakdancers show and loads more activities for kids and adults to enjoy in the sparkling winter sunshine.

Giant kites of all shapes and sizes will be flown at the beach so come down and fly your own.

Michael Richards and his team from Kite Magic will again bring some of Australia’s largest kites.

There is also kite buggying, ground hang gliding and kite skateboarding.

Moore Park Kite festival.

Its on again, The Moore Park kite festival 20-21 August.

Just North of Bundaberg, Moore park has great beaches and clean wind.

Join us there for some great kite displays, kiteboarding and buggying.

Briskites skate comp

The BrisKites skate comp went off last weekend with some good local talent showing up.

The winner of the olley comp cleared the pole at 60cm.

Our sponsored rider Michael Lawry displayed his skills clearing 90cm however wasn't entitled to enter.

The flatland freeride comp began with some of the younger crew pulling off some big moves and hitting the kicker with gusto.

Lawrey impressed all by grinding the 4' high x 12' long rail.

A good session was had by all.
