Naish International Team Riders Kevin Langeree and Rui Meira Finish 1st and 2nd in PKRA Germany Boarder Cross
Naish International Team Riders Kevin Langeree and Rui Meira Finish 1st and 2nd in PKRA Germany Boarder Cross
In a best-of-two Boarder Cross final this last weekend, Kevin Langeree (Netherlands) edged out Rui Meira (Portugal) by the narrowest of margins. Langeree won the first heat and Meira won the second heat, but after all was said and done, Langeree was crowned the champion as he had a higher average finish overall. Langeree, when asked about his key to victory, said, “I ran over to the Naish booth and grabbed the biggest board that I could find because the wind was so light. I saw the Custom Wide and knew that was what I needed. It allowed me to get the speed I needed to win.”
Langeree, after also winning in Fuerteventura earlier this year, is now ranked #1 in the world in Boarder Cross. That brings his world rankings to: #2 in Freestyle, #1 in Hang Time, and #1 in Boarder Cross with three event to go.

Naish Torch wins hang time contest at 5th stop of PKRA World Tour!
In the second discipline of the competition, Naish International Team Riders Kevin Langeree (PKRA freestyle world #2) and Rui Meira battled it out for the victory in the Hang Time event in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands.
Kevin, who was 3rd in the freestyle event the day before, won the contest on a Naish Torch 10m kite with a best jump of 7.48 seconds. Rui came is 2nd with a best jump of 7.49 seconds, but was second due to Kevin having more jumps for a longer time than Rui.
Kevin and Rui, both on Torches, bested the rest of the filed, bow and c-shape kite alike, proving that the Torch is the ultimate combination of ease, performance, and jumping ability.
Jalou Langeree was 2nd in the women’s hang time with a Naish Torch as well.
Congratulations Kevin, Rui, and Jalou!

Brisbane Kite Festival
BrisKites attended the Brisbane Kite Festival at Murraree Recreation grounds last weekend.
This was the inaugural event and was very well attended. It was good to see a number of buggiers show up as well. I will put forward for next years event that the buggy's should get more exposure.
It's good to see the local Rotary clubs getting behind such an event and I hope they have done well from it. The event was also run by the Queensland Kite Association.
We hope to see you all there next year.

Falsified complaint against buggiers.
Here is a copy of a fabricated complaint made by a member of the Redcliffe Kite Club.
Note that not a single complaint has been made by any member of the general public.
These people feel that it is OK to fabricate lies as they are protected by the privacy act.
I was there the day of these allegations and not only was there nobody run over by a buggy, there couldnt have been cheering as the event never happened.
All acusations are unfounded.
The last paragraph is outrite slander and an attempt to dirty the name of my business.
